 Several weeks ago, I talked with Lucia Rene about her new book, Unplugging from the Patriarchy, a novel based on Lucia's real-life experience of unplugging the patriarchy within 9 major areas on our planet as well as unplugging from the patriarchy within herself. Unplugging the Patriarchy reveals an x-ray view of the world in which we live. As we spoke, I realized that Lucia's energy was so palpable and clear, I could barely sit in my chair. Even the sun came out to play after a week of gray skies and clouds. According to Lucia, the Patriarchy was "supposed to take birth" and "women signed up to play...for the evolution of the masculine, and thus humankind"; it was done for the "evolution of consciousness". But now, it is time for women to step back into their fullness, wholeness, and power. It is time to unplug the patriarchy within.

With the devastation in Haiti and Chili, warnings of Pacific Tsunamis, and other crises, it is easy to feel fear and stress, especially if the people you love live in the areas of devastation.
